I hardly win the ones that rely on chance... but apparently I have over the summer.  HERSHEY just sent me NCAA 2013, which my brothers have been playing nonstop since it arrived. :la:  Have you ever won something unexpectedly?

Nope. Never have I won a contest LOL. I have really bad luck, if you believe in luck.

But I wouldn't want to win a random football game that I have less than zero chance of playing, anyway. :XD: I did, however, win an auction for a vintage katana a couple weeks back ~

I've won a Peach 3DS.
Club Nintendo had this thing going on in Europe and Japan.
If you registered at least 3 of 10 games (they listed), you got a free NES' Kid Icarus 3D version download and you got a chance of winning one of 3 special designed 3DS: Mario, Peach and Toad.
There were 1000 made of each design and you could only pick one design.
I asked some people on forums and even my mother which one they would choose.
Peach was the least favorite, so that's the one I chose XD
Not expecting to win, I received a mail that I did actually won! XD
It's still in the box and I tend to keep it that way :p

You guys are lucky, Club Nintendo doesn't offer much on these shores. :/  Sounds like something I'd do, just for the heck of it, I'd definitely pick the least favored prize for a better chance. My sister would have loved the Peach 3DS! But isn't it interesting that more people would rather have a Toad 3DS over her's? O.o

Well, to be honest, I think the Toad version looked best.
But to me a limited item is a limited item.
I'm a huge collector, so no way a little relative of mine is getting MY PEACH PINK 3DS! XD

And I think NOA is luckier when it comes to Nintendo doing awesome stuff.
I mean, you have the Nintendo World Store (been there once <3).
Most contests on the Facebook page is centered in USA (some states excluded sometimes).
Even if you go to NOE Facebook page, you get redirected to the 'world' page, which is in reality just NOA..
You used to get games earlier then the PAL region.
I know that we getting stuff almost the same date nowadays.. but it's annoying since our games NEED to be translated.
To me it's bullshit, since the Netherlands always get the English version.
And I believe the Star Catalogue is cheaper and has better stuff compared to us.

But hey, in the end, we both know Japanese are the luckiest.. :'(

(sry for the rant XD)

That's pretty cool. Not something I'd care to win, since I don't play sports games, but still pretty awesome.
As for me winning things by chance, I have won at least one preview screening to a movie, the one I remember was 'Spymate'.
I also one two contests over at a Website called Rodan's Roost, now known as 'Kaijuphile' several years ago. The pool of applicant's was small, as it was only open for members of a the relatively new message boards, and the more posts you had, the more entries you got. Since I had a whole lot, the odds were high that I won, which happened twice. First time I won a vinyl Fire Rodan figurine from Bandai, and the second time, which had a larger pool of prizes, I won a second place and got a larger figurine of the 2001 version of King Ghidorah. Both prizes were very nice.

I'm not into virtual sports either, and even less in football. But my brothers are sports nuts, so it's more for them anyway. They entered too, but somehow I was one that won. Man, Lady Luck really takes a shine to you. The only other things I've won were some Ninja Turtles action figures when I was a kid and an iPod nano in 2007. That 2nd gen model remains my favorite.

Oh I see then, well at least they like it then.
Well those are still nice things, must have been neat winning those toys back in the day, and an iPod is a neat acquisition.
What I' call a definite 'statistical anomaly' about winning that Fire Rodan figure was that in arrived at my door literally on September 11, 2001. I guess you just remember other things that happen to you on that day as well.

I once won a raffle at a dairy bar. I got a nice glass vase that I have no idea where to put

Nice. Hmmm... I wouldn't know where to put a vase either, I'm not the decorative type. Everything I have is mostly utilitarian with at least one productive function.
