This one isn't as nice to look at as the Fierce Deity Sword, but I like how the blade is separated into two parts. :)

Second look at this picture so many months after the first...I really like the design of the Razor Sword, it's awesome. However, I just hated that its two limitations. It returned to the Kokiri Sword after 100 hits and you couldn't take it back in time with you. In other words, most people are going to not get it unless they plan to immediately upgrade to the Gilded Sword. Most annoying is that no other sword has such a limitation! Well, unless you count the Giant's Knife, but you can get a more durable version of that!

Are you kidding me? You practically trip over money in that game. I'd go buy it for the extra dmg, take it into a temple and by the time it broke I had enough for another one.

Admittedly though on the first full run through of the game, before I knew where all the money was, As soon as I saw it I yelled at my 64 because I'd already defeated one temple and it was a pain. So I'd save up money and buy it whenever I got to a boss fight to make it that much easier.

Either way, it doesn't make sense how they handled it when the only other weapon that functions even close to it is the Giant's Knife from Ocarina of Time...Except that didn't somehow mysteriously revert back to a previous form when it ran out of hits! If the Razor Sword had to be taken back for sharpening, that I could understand, but reverting back to the Kokiri Sword?!

Because all they really did was add onto the sword. Yes, it looks entirely different. But it's also a fantasy game with evil masks that can create a moon, ghosts, living bombs, zombie ninjas, aliens, and pedobear's traveling salesman cousin...and you're arguing semantics? All the Smiths did was change the shape slightly on the Kokiri Sword, weld on a heaver sharper blade and change the guard so it looks like it all fits. I still fail to see the problem here other than you're own backwards attempt at logic in a fairy tail world...

...Not attempting logic, so much as failing to see consistency, since the only other permanent weapon that has a limited number of hits is the Giant's Knife, but that can be replaced by a more permanent version. Besides, comparing the Kokiri Sword directly to the Razor Sword shows that the blade was completely changed, as opposed to merely reshaped. Anyway, at the end of the day, my main problem with the Razor Sword is that it's supposed to be an upgrade to your main weapon, not a stronger replacement you can leave for bosses.

And what does that have to do with the inconsistent portrayal of the main character's weapon? That other stuff is par for the course of a Zelda game, but no other main sword recieves the same treatment as the Razor Sword.

It Is A Fantasy Game. There Is No Such Thing As Consistency Logic Or Reason As In Our Own World. You Are Arguing About Semantics Where The Impossible Is Every Day Normal. Your Entire Point Is Made Invalid By The Very Thing You're Arguing About...
