Metroid: Best Ending [Pixel Art] by BLUEamnesiac Metroid: Best Ending [Pixel Art] by BLUEamnesiac
I'll have the digital drawing version completed tomorrow, so here's pixel art for now. I limited the color count as much as I could with a total of 29 used. If you want to see the original NES version, go here [link] .

Yeah, what a surprising moment in video game history! Samus is a female.

Indeed, I agree with Dinalfos5, I like that she has brown hair here. Old school Samus!

It's amazing how you only used 29 colors to create this pixel artwork. Nice!

Very sexy, I really like how you digitally coloured her in. Her bikini is very sexy looking in the picture. It is too bad we never get to see her in anything so sexy in any of the future editions of the games, when the rendering went beyond a few pixels. Also like that she had brown/red hair, a lot of princesses seemed to had started out with brown hair and changed over to blonde in later appearances, like Peach as well. The original Zelda seemed to have brown hair as well, but as it was her only appearance and subsequent depictions had other hair colour, one could assume that her hair colour wasn't retconned away.
Anyway, looking forward to the others then.

The graphical limitations NES couldn't render yellows.

You sure about that? Nah, they certainly had a way of making things LOOK yellow, like Starmen, Triforce pieces, the Starrod, so much more, yellow, or at least golden, to some degree, had to be possible. It had to be more than that. I'll have to go back and take a look at thing I thought looked yellow in their original form, maybe you're right.

They used a shade on orange for the Super Star [link]. Click on the 1.1.1 Super Mario Bros and you can see the Super Star on the Right.

Here is the info on the NES color palette [link]

Well I guess when something flashes between orange and green, it can trick the eye into thinking it's yellow. That does make sense why no one was blonde in the NES, But I forget, was she blonde in Super Mario World when yellow was possible, or was she still brown/red until later titles?
