Game Boy Evolution (1989 - 2005) by BLUEamnesiac Game Boy Evolution (1989 - 2005) by BLUEamnesiac
I can't believe it's already been about seven years since the Game Boy line was officially retired. Such a shame, I preferred it over the DS series. All of the pixel art representations should be fairly close in scale to one another. The GBA SP might be a tiny bit larger than it should be, but close enough.

I'd never forget that glowing little fella fav.me/d58d473 . The problem was that I only had room for the Game Boy hardware released in North America. :(  I am considering putting every variant in one giant image once I make them all in pixel art form.

The Gameboy Micro was the stupidest of them all. (Not bashing the other systems and handhelds)

Not many people remember it exists.

I agree, it was nothing more than a quick cash in with the cheapest build ever.  Eventually I'll still get one just for the sake of completing the hardware set.  But man... the prices for a complete in box one is crazy.

I remember the day I got a Super Game Boy for Christmas...I was so excited.

Even though the only game boy game I had for the longest time was Tetris Attack.

Any kind of Tetris game is the best to have at the bare minimum. :XD: For the longest time, the Tetris pack-in with my Game Boy was all I had. But it was still fun.

I had the GBC and GBA SP, the GBC is a little too dark and I don't really have any games for it(tired of the pokemon silver, I had yellow but it's missing and I don't like silver as much, and the Zelda oracle games are hard to get or too expensive now), the GBA SP is kinda over played and the case where the battery is has kinda bubbled up. But I still really love them ^^. A friend got an original GBA but I didn't like it as much, uncomfy to hold for some reason...

Nice GB collection you've got. Yeah, I always wished the GBC had a backlight, but that was what we had to deal with for the sake of battery life. The same thing for the first version of the GBA. Hmm, you've got me thinking. Can you play a GBA SP without a battery so long as there's an AC adapter? I've never tried that, but now I'm curious. It would be the ideal solution, because getting the GBA SP battery replaced sometimes costs a bit.

Thanks, and yes if only there was backlight for the GBC but that would kill the batteries...

I have no idea, I brought a GBASP car charger since it was the only one I could find when my charger was missing, and think I had to wait a while before it started to work, but not sure since I didn't want to play on it because I was going to use it with the japansese version of 4swords to try [link] later. It doesn't work alone with the GCN cable either, but I can test again the charger part, but I'm afraid that the battery would explode... :fear: I don't remember if it worked when I was I kid either, such a long time ago(I feel old... my youngest cousin will grow up with the WiiU and I played a SNES at an older cousin's house at age 6, 14 years ago...)
