I'm not a fan of rainbows, but I always get a sense of nostalgia when I see a scrolling color bar on TV. Also, does anyone else notice the illusion of the fuji logo faintly rippling like a flag? I was surprise the effect works on an LCD screen.

Same here. And was it a long time coming. I remember writing to Nintendo about it the moment I heard the first rumor and they were like Game Boy 2? And then they went on to say that they couldn't comment on future hardware that hasn't been publicly announced. ^^; Another fun note, I did send them a console design when I was really young. It was to be a color Game Boy that was compatible with SNES games, the Super Game Boy. So I was really amped when the Game Boy adapter came out with that name. :D Sorry for the wall of text, you just brought back tons of good memories with a single sentence.

I am too, but in Japan, there was a Super Game Boy 2. So that's pretty odd. O.o

It's a translucent blue and has a link cable port. Plus, the clock speed for the games is fully accurate. The original Game Boy simply throttled down the SNES processor and still ran things a little faster than normal.
